OSU Outdoor Track & Field Completes First Day of Season at Clyde Hart Classic

WACO, Texas – Oklahoma State outdoor track & field wrapped up its first day of action in the 2024 outdoor season at the Clyde Hart Classic in Waco, Texas, with several athletes picking up personal bests in the opener.
Rachel Neaves and Johnna Orange kicked things off for the Cowgirls Friday in the Hammer Throw, with each earning top-10 finishes. Orange also set a new personal best with her toss of 57.55 meters, which moves her up to No. 6 on the program's all-time leaderboard.
Brooke Bayles put together the best performance of her career thus far in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.70 meters, which moves her up to eighth in program history.
In the women's Long Jump, Bailey Golden and Kessiah Bemis each placed in the top five, with both women jumping over six meters. Bemis's leap of 6.00 meters is a new personal best and slots her tenth on OSU's list.
On the men's side, Will Quintana set a new personal best in the Long Jump on his way to a sixth-place finish overall.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will return Saturday for the second and final day of the meet, with action starting at 11 a.m. CT. Live results for the meet can be found here.
