Jadyn Wooten Tabbed As Big 12 Freshman Of The Week

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Jadyn Wooten was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week after helping the Cowgirl Basketball team to a 2-1 mark with three consecutive double-figure scoring outings.
In OSU's win over Chicago State, Wooten tallied her first career double-figure scoring outing, finishing with 10 points and a career-best seven assists. She connected on five of her nine shots from the floor in the contest and also grabbed two rebounds and had a steal.
Wooten was named to the all-tournament team at the Daytona Beach Classic over the weekend as well. In the Cowgirls' victory over Arkansas, the Overland Park, Kan., native poured in 16 points on a 6-of-11 shooting performance. She knocked down all four of her free throws and finished with four assists and a rebound as well.
The 5-6 guard capped her week with a 20-point outburst against Richmond. Wooten knocked down nine of her 12 shots from the floor while grabbing six rebounds to go with four assists and one steal.
For the week, Wooten averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds over those three games.
