Cowboys in the NFL: Week Nine
November 05, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Numerous former Oklahoma State Football stars turned in notable performances as week nine of the NFL season came and went last week. A look at some of the highlights:
Former Poke Mason Rudolph seems to have found his footing in Tennessee with the Titans after leading them to a 20-17 OT win last week over the New England Patriots. Rudolph showed his maturity in the contest, completing 20 of his 33 attempted passes for 240 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He showed off his mobility on that 13-yard rush, as he added 19 total yards on the ground. Rudolph and his Titans will look to keep it going this week as they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Moving to the defensive side of the ball, former Cowboy Tyler Lacy has had quite the past two weeks for the Jacksonville Jaguars. After tallying a career-high four combined tackles two weeks ago against the Green Bay Packers, Lacy went out and set another career-high last week against the Philadelphia Eagles as he stacked up five combined tackles on the night in a tough 28-23 loss. Regardless of the result, Lacy has put together back-to-back solid performances and looks to have solidified his role on the team. He'll look to add another career high this week as his Jaguars take on the Minnesota Vikings at noon on Sunday in Jacksonville.
After a down week by his standards, former Cowboy Chuba Hubbard came back with a vengeance last week and had himself a day against the New Orleans Saints. Hubbard totaled 72 yards on the ground on 15 carries, and added a pair of touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 2:18 left in the fourth quarter. Hubbard and his Panthers make the long trek to Europe this week to take on the New York Giants in Munich, Germany, with kickoff set for 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
In off the field news, former Cowboy Anthony Goodlow has found a new home with the Arizona Cardinals as he was signed to its practice squad late last week. The rookie defensive lineman started the season for the Los Angeles Rams but was waived earlier this season.
