Cowgirl Tennis Adds Former Wimbledon Junior Champion

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team has announced the signing of former Wimbledon Junior Doubles Champion Rose Marie Nijkamp, head coach Chris Young announced on Wednesday.
The Apeldoorn, Netherlands, native will join the Cowgirl roster for the upcoming season and is the second signee of the 2024 class, joining Alian Zack.
Nijkamp has collected 12 doubles titles and four singles titles during her junior career, highlighted by a Wimbledon Junior Doubles title in 2022. She reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 31 in 2024 and her current WTA ranking of No. 614 in singles is her career best, while she ranks No. 952 in doubles.
"I chose Oklahoma State because of the coaches and great facilities," Nijkamp said. "I am very excited to walk this new path and I believe that good things will happen."
Oklahoma State's 2025 roster now consists of nine players with the additions of Nijkamp and Zack. The Cowgirls will open their season on Jan. 15 at home against Wyoming.
