Cowgirls Conclude Fall Season with Win Over UC Davis

Davis, Calif. — Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked equestrian team concluded their fall season with a 12-7 victory over UC Davis on Saturday at the UC Davis Equestrian Center.
Riley Hogan earned her 38th career Fences win, moving her into first place all time in Oklahoma State history for the event.
With the win, OSU improved to 5-3 overall, while UC Davis dropped to 1-7. The Cowgirls are a perfect 6-0 all time against the Aggies and improved to 4-0 in Davis.
The meet began with Fences and Horsemanship.
The Cowgirl Fences squad split the team event, 2-2. Mackenzie Carreras led the way, defeating Natalie Wasson, 79-75. She is now 4-3-1 in her senior season. Hogan scored the other point for OSU, narrowly beating Jessie Rechs, 77-76. Hogan is now 7-1 in Fences this season, leading the team in wins this season.
Gable Gering was the ninth rider in the event, tying with Lauren Kolbe at 80, while Avery Schauder and Bella Holway lost to Anna Donovan and Emma Jolly, 84-75 and 86-66, respectively.
In Horsemanship, the Cowgirls put together another complete performance, winning 4-1. The Horsemanship squad finished the fall season 7-1.
Claire McDowall got back into the win column, besting her opponent, 75.5-73.5. She is now 5-2 this season with five 75-plus point performances. June Roberson earned her fifth-straight win, defeating Natasha Replogle by two points to receive her first MOP of the season and third in her career. Roberson leads OSU with seven Horsemanship wins this season. Alana Stanton scored the final point for the Cowgirls, tying her season high with a 74.5-point performance.
After an intermission, the meet concluded with Flat and Reining.
The Flat squad won the team advantage, 3-2, for the fourth time this season. Gering started the scoring for OSU, winning 72-67 for her third Flat win this season. Caroline Mirts followed as she outlasted Kolbe, 77-76. Shortly after, Hogan collected her second win of the day with a 10-point win over Carmen Gonzalez. In the final ride of the event, Holway scored an 81 to secure the event for the Cowgirls. This was her fourth win in Flat this season.
The Cowgirls lost the Reining team advantage, 3-2. Abby Budd scored the first point, besting Emma Dillon, 70.5-68.5 and earning her fourth career MOP. Budd has won three in a row and six on the year. The other OSU point came from Emma Filiatreau in the final ride of the meet, with an event high 72.5 score. Filiatreau is now 6-2 on the season and has won four-straight rides.
Quincee Clark, Tristan Bagby and Ava Bush all dropped their rides to Avery Adamson, Nicole Shroyer and Mya Clader, respectively.
The Cowgirls return to action on a road trip to face Baylor on Feb. 15 to kick off the spring season.
