• Oklahoma State fell to Texas Tech, 56-48, Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium to conclude the home portion of its 2024 season.
• Freshman quarterback Maealiuaki Smith made his first start for the Cowboys on Saturday, becoming the first true freshman to start at quarterback for Oklahoma State since Garret Rangel vs. Kansas on Nov. 5, 2022.
• Smith finished 26-for-35 for 316 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception, along with a rushing touchdown. He's the first OSU freshman to pass for over 300 yards since Garret Rangel against Kansas in 2022. His 316 passing yards are the second-most passing yards in OSU history in a first career start and the sixth-most by a freshman in a game in school history.

• Saturday marked the 17th time in program history that Oklahoma State had a 300-yard passer, a 100-yard rusher and two 100-yard receivers in the same game (Smith-326, Gordon II-156, Stribling-133, Owens-124) and first time since last year's TaxAct Texas Bowl against Texas A&M.Â

• Brennan Presley became the first player in Oklahoma State history to reach 300 career receptions on Saturday. He was already the program leader in career receptions, now at 307.
• Ollie Gordon II finished with 15 carries for 156 yards and three touchdowns, along with three receptions for 30 yards and a pass completion for 27 yards. It was his third game this season with three total touchdowns and now has nine rushing scores in his last five games.
• His 156 rushing yards mark his fourth 100-yard rushing game this season and 14th of his career.
• OSU's 48 points were its most scored in a game since a 48-34 win against West Virginia on Oct. 21, 2023. It also ties for the third-most points scored in defeat in program history.
• The Cowboys' 508 total yards was their second-highest total of the season, only behind 560 in the win at Tulsa. OSU's 34 second-half points were its most since 35 in the second half against Cincinnati on Oct. 28, 2023.
• Oklahoma State's five rushing touchdowns against Texas Tech were its most in a game since it had five against BYU in the 2023 regular-season finale.
• Safety Parker Robertson finished with 11 tackles, an interception and a tackle for loss, all of which tied career-highs.
• Oklahoma State recorded three sacks in the first half, marking the first time OSU has had three sacks in a half since the second half against Kansas on Oct. 14, 2023.
• Ollie Gordon II rushed for a 68-yard touchdown late in the first quarter to open the scoring for Oklahoma State, marking his longest rush since a 75-yard score against Cincinnati on Oct. 28, 2023.
• The 68-yard run was OSU's third longest play from scrimmage this season and longest since a 77-yard touchdown pass from Alan Bowman to De'Zhaun Stribling against Kansas State on September 28.Â
• Parker Robertson's second quarter interception was the second of his career, with the other coming against BYU earlier this season.
• Ollie Gordon II completed a pass to Rashod Owens for 27 yards in the second quarter. It was Gordon II's first career statistical completion. He also completed a two-point conversion pass to Brennan Presley against Baylor earlier this season.
• Gordon II would go on to score from the one-yard-line for his second rushing touchdown of the game with 5:24 to go in the second quarter.
• Gordon II found the endzone for a third time on Oklahoma State's opening possession of the second half, this time from two yards out.
• The touchdown was Gordon II's 13th rushing score of the season and ninth in his last five games.
• Maealiuaki Smith tied the score once again with a 13-yard rushing touchdown with 8:53 to go in the third quarter, the first of his career. It was the first rushing touchdown by an Oklahoma State quarterback since Gunnar Gundy in last season's TaxAct Texas Bowl vs. Texas A&M.
• Smith followed that with his first career passing touchdown with 13:19 to go in the final quarter, finding De'Zhaun Stribling for a 14-yard score. Stribling now has touchdown receptions in back-to-back games and is up to six for the year, a career-high for one season.
• Rodney Fields Jr. scored the first touchdown of his career on a 19-yard run with 8:37 to play in the fourth quarter, tying the score at 42.
• OSU added another score with 2:35 to play as Smith found Rashod Owens for a 10-yard touchdown, marking Owens' fourth touchdown reception this season and 10th of his career.
• The OSU senior class was honored before the game during senior day festivities.
• Oklahoma State's game captains were Kody Walterscheid, Parker Robertson, Joe Michalski and Brennan Presley.
