Ethan Fang Named To Haskins Award Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Oklahoma State's Ethan Fang was among the standouts named to the Haskins Award Final Fall Watch List it was announced this week.
A native of Plano, Texas, Fang joined the Cowboys this fall after spending his freshman season at Cal. The sophomore wrapped up the fall slate ranked No. 20 nationally after registering top-10 finishes in each of his three stroke play starts.
Fang made his Cowboy debut at the Sahalee Players Championship where he tied for eighth. He followed with a fifth-place showing at the Fighting Illini Invitational. After going 3-1-1 at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament, he tied for fourth place at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup before winning his match to lead OSU to its first team title of the fall.
Beginning in 1971, the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media. Named in honor of Fred Haskins, the award is managed by the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top male golfer at the end of the season and to match the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top female Division I collegiate golfer.
Past winners of the Haskins Award presented by Stifel have captured 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world.
Matthew Wolff is the most recent Cowboy to win the award, doing so in 2019. He is joined by Pablo Martin (2006), Hunter Mahan (2003), Charles Howell (2000), Scott Verplank (1986), Willie Wood (1982), Bob Tway (1981) and Lindy Miller (1978) as OSU winners of the award.
