November 10, 2024 | Cowgirl Tennis
ROME, Ga. – Gracie Epps of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team captured a runner-up finish in the singles draw of the ITA Conference Masters on Sunday in Rome, Georgia.
After four wins in three days to reach the final, Epps fell to No. 37 Sofia Johnson from Old Dominion, 6-3, 6-4, to conclude her weekend in Georgia.
The first-year Cowgirl's run clinched her spot in the NCAA Individual Championships by way of making the semifinals. She'll join teammates Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar at the event in Waco, Texas, later this month.
The ITA Conference Masters field consisted of 32 singles players and 32 doubles pairings, with each NCAA Division I, automatic qualifier-eligible conference designating one player and one doubles team to represent it. The four singles semifinalists and top three finishers in the doubles draw earned automatic bids into the NCAA Individual Championships.
