Cowgirl Soccer’s Morris Tabbed Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Alex Morris is the Big 12 Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for Week Eight.
A senior wingback, Morris helped lead the Cowgirls to a 3-0 win at Kansas as they remained undefeated in road games this season.
Morris played a season-high 86 minutes as part of a defense that recorded OSU's 11th shutout of the season, the fourth most in a single season in program history.
Along with her defensive efforts, Morris recorded an assist on OSU's second goal and tallied a pair of shots, one of them on goal. She now has a team-leading five assists, which ranks fifth in the Big 12 this season.
Morris' selection marks the sixth time a Cowgirl has collected a Big 12 weekly award this season. She joins Grace Gordon (two-time goalkeeper of the week), Mollie Breiner (defensive player), Bella Pierotti (freshman) and Ellie Geoffroy (defensive) on the list of honorees.
