Cowgirl Soccer Well Represented On Big 12 Awards List

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State had seven players honored with Big 12 Conference awards for the 2024 season and achieved a first in program history.
Six Cowgirls collected All-Big 12 honors, which ranks as the second most in program history behind 2011's seven. OSU placed three on the All-Big 12 First Team, which is tied for the third highest total in program history behind the 2011 (5) and 2010 (4) squads.
Earning spots on the All-Big 12 First Team were defender Alex Morris and midfielders Xcaret Pineda and Laudan Wilson, while goalkeeper Grace Gordon, defender Mollie Breiner and forward Gracie Bindbeutel collected All-Big 12 Second Team accolades.
Another Cowgirl picking up honors was defender Katelyn Hoppers, who was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.
Additionally, Morris was named the Big 12 Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year, marking the first Cowgirl in program history to capture the award.
Morris has played in 18 games this season and spearheads OSU's record setting defense that leads the nation with 15 shutouts.
A fifth-year senior, Morris has also thrived in the attack with a career-high three goals to go along with five assists.
Academically, Morris graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.89 grade point average in May 2023 with a degree in biology/pre-medical sciences. She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in health care administration.
Morris is a four-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team performer and a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. She has been named to the OSU Dean's Honor Roll four times and is a three-time selection to the OSU President's Honor Roll.
Pineda collects All-Big 12 honors for the second time in her career after being named to the All-Big 12 Second Team last season.
A junior, Pineda is OSU's third-leading scorer this season with five goals and four assists. She is second on the team with 48 shots, 21 of those on goal, and has recorded a pair of game-winning goals.
Wilson earns a spot on the All-Big 12 team for the first time in her career after being named to the All-Freshman Team a year ago.
A Kansas native, Wilson is tied for OSU's scoring lead with 18 points on the strength of five goals and eight assists. She ranks second in the Big 12 and 19th nationally in assists.
Highlighting OSU's list of All-Big 12 Second Team honorees is Gordon, who has put together one of the top seasons by a Cowgirl goalie in history.
A graduate in her second season with the program, Gordon has posted 12 shutouts on the year, tying her with former All-American AD Franch for OSU's all-time season mark. The total leads the Big 12 and ranks third nationally.
Gordon also ranks third in the NCAA in save percentage (.886) and eighth in goals-against average (0.43) in 2024, and she has racked up 18 clean sheets in 38 career games at OSU.
Breiner has anchored the Cowgirls' back line to help OSU post 15 shutouts in 19 games and rank second nationally in shutout percentage (.789) and fourth in goals-against average (0.42).
Along with her defensive efforts, Breiner has recorded a pair of goals, and she leads all Cowgirl field players in minutes played with 1,605 while playing full time in 12 matches.
Bindbeutel earns a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team as a sophomore after missing all of last season with a knee injury.
A native of Missouri, Bindbeutel transitioned from wingback to forward in conference play and notched a pair of goals.
Hoppers became a fixture in the starting lineup at wingback over the final half of regular season and has been a force in OSU's defensive efforts while chipping in with a pair of assists.
