IRVING, Texas – For the third time this season, Oklahoma State's Grace Gordon is the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week.
Gordon had a record-setting week 10 as she helped OSU extend its winning streak to five and its unbeaten streak to seven with shutout wins over Iowa State and UCF.
In the win over the Knights, Gordon tallied four saves and tied former All-American AD Franch for OSU's single-season shutouts mark with her 12th of the year.
The clean sheet against UCF also set a program record for consecutive shutouts as it marked Gordon's sixth in a row – the previous mark was five by Franch in 2011.
Additionally, the shutout was the 18th of Gordon's OSU career, moving her into third place on the program's all-time list.
Gordon posted three saves in the win over Iowa State.
With Gordon leading the way, OSU leads the nation with 15 shutouts on the season, the second most in a single season in program history behind the 18 recorded by the 2011 Cowgirls.
Gordon ranks second nationally in shutouts and save percentage (.906) and is fourth in goals against average (0.35).
Gordon's three selections as Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week ties a program record. Emily Plotz was also a three-time winner for the Cowgirls in 2020.
The Cowgirls have now been honored with eight Big 12 weekly awards this season. Along with Gordon, Alex Morris (defensive) is a two-time winner, while Mollie Breiner (defensive), Bella Pierotti (freshman) and Ellie Geoffroy (defensive) are also on the list.
