Cowgirls defeat Seminole State, 14-0, in Fall Exhibition

STILLWATER —The Oklahoma State softball team claimed a 14-0 exhibition win over Seminole State in 10 innings on Wednesday evening at Cowgirl Stadium.
Megan Bloodworth and Tallen Edwards both hit home runs in the Cowgirls' win, with the duo combining for five hits and five RBIs on the night. The two home runs marked the second and third long balls of the Cowgirls' fall season.
The Pokes threw six pitchers in the contest. RyLee Crandall, Katie Kutz, Madison Hoffman Ruby Meylan, Kyra Aycock and Kathryn Ogg split the 10 innings near equally. They combined for 13 strikeouts, while allowing only two hits and five walks.
The offense recorded 17 total hits, 13 RBIs and eight walks. Nine different Cowgirls got a hit in the game, while six batters had multiple hits.
OSU started their scoring in the third with two runs, then followed it up with a combined 11 runs in the fourth and fifth innings. One run was scored in the ninth to extend the lead to 14-0.
The fall exhibition schedule continues on Saturday, Oct. 12, when the Cowgirls hit the road to face Arkansas and Tulsa at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., respectively, at the Collins Family Softball Complex in Tulsa.
