STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has been selected to host a 2027 Division I Men's Golf Regional and the 2027 Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, plus 2028 Division I Men's Basketball First and Second Rounds at the BOK Center in Tulsa, the NCAA announced today.
The BOK Center hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament in 2011, 2017 and 2019, but 2028 marks the first time that OSU will serve as the host institution.
"The first and second rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament represent one of the best four-day stretches on the American sporting calendar," OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg said. "We're excited to host at the BOK Center."
Karsten Creek Golf Course has repeatedly hosted NCAA Regional and Championship events, notably the 2018 NCAA Championships that saw Oklahoma State win the team title.
Since being built in 2019, the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course has quickly earned a reputation as the nation's top on-campus cross country facility. It previously hosted the 2020 and 2022 NCAA Championships (with the 2020 event held in spring 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Its list of marquee events also includes the 2021 Big 12 Championship and the 2023 NCAA Midwest Regional, both of which will return in 2025 and 2026 respectively.
"We are incredibly proud of our course and so appreciative of the Greiner Family for providing us with the opportunity to bring the best cross country meet in the world back to Stillwater," OSU Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Dave Smith said. "We also want to the thank the NCAA Track & Field and Cross Country Committee for their confidence in our ability to host a great championship event."
Ticket information and much more will be available at a later date.
