Series History: Cowboys First Trip to Provo
October 17, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and BYU will meet for the fourth time in program history Friday night in Provo, Utah.
The Cowboys lead the all-time series, 3-0, with wins in the 1974 Fiesta Bowl, 1976 Tangerine Bowl and last year's regular season finale.
In a 40-34 overtime win last season, OSU overcame a 24-6 halftime deficit behind 166 rushing yards and five touchdowns from Ollie Gordon II.
This will be the second time the teams will play as conference opponents, and the first time they'll meet in Provo. Each head coach has faced the other one time, with Mike Gundy besting Kalani Sitake in that matchup.
Kickoff is set for 9:15 p.m. on Friday at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, with the game to be broadcast on ESPN and carried live on the Cowboy Radio Network.
