Cowboys in the NFL: Week Six
October 15, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – A handful of former Oklahoma State Cowboy Football stars put in noteworthy performances during this past weekend of the NFL season. A look at some of the highlights:
Amen Ogbongbemiga followed up his good performance two weeks ago with another solid day's work against the Jaguars last week in London, helping lead his Bears to a 35-16 win. The six-foot linebacker logged his first sack in a Bears' uniform, and the second sack of his career in the win. Ogbongbemiga will rest up with a bye this week and look to keep the good performances rolling next week against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3:25 p.m.
After coming off a bye, Malcolm Rodriguez continued his string of good performances with another one this past week on the road against the Dallas Cowboys. Rodriguez and his defense held the Cowboys to only nine points in a 47-9 win for the Detroit Lions in which Rodriguez finished with three solo tackles in addition to the fumble recovery, which notched the second fumble recovery of his career. Rodriguez and his Lions seek to keep it going this week on the road against the undefeated Minnesota Vikings, with kickoff slated for noon on Sunday.
Former Poke Chuba Hubbard just keeps on turning in great performances for the Carolina Panthers, building his case as one of the top running backs in the league this season. Despite dropping the contest last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Hubbard still accounted for over 100 all-purpose yards in the game, as he rushed for 92 yards on 18 carries and added 11 yards on five receptions through the air. Hubbard will be back in action on the road this week against the Washington Commanders, with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
