January 17, 2024 | Cowboy Cross Country & Track
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's indoor track & field cracked the top 10 of the first FloTrack men's team rankings, with the Cowboys coming in at No. 6, the organization announced Wednesday.
FloTrack ranks teams by scoring out the national meet with their projected All-American finishers in every event. Using this process, the OSU men are scored out at 24 points with Fouad Messaoudi in the 3,000 Meters and the Cowboy Distance Medley Relay being ranked at No. 1 overall, totaling ten points apiece. Rounding out the rankings are Mehdi Yanouri at No. 7 in the 800 Meter and Brian Musau at No. 8 in both the 3,000 and 5,000 Meters.
On the women's side, Flo has the Cowgirl just outside the top 10 with 22 projected points. Taylor Roe is ranked No. 3 in the 3,000 Meters with teammate Gabija Galvydyte ranked No. 4 in the 800 Meters. Outdoor All-American Billah Jepkirui also finds herself ranked in a pair of events at No. 7 in the Mile and No. 8 in the 3,000 Meters. The Cowgirl DMR which contained the trio plus Tamara Woodley last season is ranked No. 2 after finishing sixth last season.
OSU returns to action in next week with another trip to Arkansas for the prestigious Razorback Invitational from Jan. 26-27.
