Cowgirl Softball Debuts at No. 14 in Softball America Preseason Poll

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team is No. 14 in the Softball America Preseason Top 25 that was announced today.
The Cowgirls return four starters – including three All-Big 12 honorees – from a team that advanced to the Women's College World Series in 2023. Coach Kenny Gajewski welcomes 10 newcomers to the roster, highlighted by two-time ASUN Player of the Year Caroline Wang and a strong freshman class.
The 2024 preseason ranking marks the seventh-straight year that OSU begins the season with a top 25 ranking, another milestone that solidifies OSU's status among the sport's elite. A closer look at the facts:

- Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are the only two teams in the country to advance to each of the last four Women's College World Series.
- With its last four trips to OKC, Oklahoma State increased its all-time WCWS appearance to 15, a mark that ties for fourth in the nation.
- Oklahoma State enters the 2024 season having been ranked in the top 25 of the NFCA poll in each of its last 269 games played.
- Over the last four seasons, Oklahoma State holds a 52-20 record in Big 12 conference play, trailing only Oklahoma. In the last seven seasons, OSU hasn't finished lower than third in the Big 12 standings.
- Since 2021, Oklahoma State has collected 143 wins, only Oklahoma, Florida State and UCLA have more.
- Under Gajewski, Oklahoma State has 19 All-America honors from 13 different student-athletes.
