Cowboy Duo Earns All-America Status

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team had a pair of players receive All-America recognition on Tuesday with Jonas Baumgartner and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen earning the distinction with the announcement of the second, third and honorable mention 2023 NCAA Division I PING All-America Teams by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Both players received honorable mention honors. With their selections, the Cowboys now have 194 All-Americans in program history.
Baumgartner tallied five top-10 finishes on the year. He picked up his first career victory this spring at the Mountaineer Invitational and had runner-up showings at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and the Big 12 Championship. Additionally, the junior finished fifth at the NCAA Las Vegas Regional and was seventh at the N.I.T.
The Bielefeld, Germany native wrapped up the season ranked 34th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking and No. 60 in Golfstat's ranking.
Neergaard-Petersen had a pair of top 10s to his credit this past season, finishing ninth at the Fighting Illini Invitational and seventh at the Haskins Award Invitational. The fifth year also had an 11th-place showing at the Big 12 Championship.
A native of Niva, Denmark, Neergaard-Petersen wrapped up his collegiate career at No. 35 in the Golfstat ranking and 63rd according to Golfweek.
