OSU Softball Ranked No. 8/8 Heading Into Postseason Play

STILLWATER – Ahead of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Softball Championship this weekend, the Oklahoma State Softball team checks in at No. 8/8 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

The Pokes began their week with a midweek contest on the road against North Texas, the final road regular season game of the season. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead after Chyenne Factor's solo blast, the Mean Green mounted a comeback and won the game, 5-1.
OSU then turned to No. 1/1 Oklahoma for a top-10 showdown in Stillwater for its regular season conference finale from May 5-7. The Cowgirls fell short in each game of the series, all of which were tightly contested.
The Oklahoma State faithful set new Cowgirl Stadium attendance records over the weekend: 1,753 packed into Cowgirl Stadium for game two of the Bedlam series on Saturday, which stands alone as the facility record.
Attendance for the series opener was 1,602 (second in Cowgirl Stadium history) and the third and final game of the weekend garnered 1,565 fans (third in Cowgirl Stadium history).
Each game's attendance bested the previous Cowgirl Stadium attendance record: 1,384 fans attend game two of the 2022 NCAA Stillwater Super Regional versus Clemson.
The Pokes being the postseason at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City this weekend. As the No. 3 seed in the tournament, OSU takes on the sixth-seeded Kansas Jayhawks on Thursday; first pitch slated for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+ and The Varsity Network.
