Cowgirl Softball Checks In At No. 7/6 In National Polls

STILLWATER – With a pair of run-rule victories that led the Cowgirls to a series win over Texas Tech, the Oklahoma State Softball team ranks No. 7/6 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 heading into the final week of the regular season.

OSU opened its series at Texas Tech with a doubleheader, in which the Pokes claimed a 10-1 victory in six innings in game one, followed by a tough extra innings loss in the game two.
The Cowgirls responded resoundingly with an 8-0 victory in five innings on Sunday, clinching the series and improving to 10-5 in conference play in the process.
On the weekend, the Cowgirls hit four home runs as a team and outscored the Red Raiders by a combined score of 21-5.
The Pokes are right back in the Lone Star State for a midweek contest at Texas on May 3. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. CT; fans can stream the game on ESPN+ or listen on The Varsity Network.
Following its game with the Mean Green, OSU concludes the 2023 regular season in Bedlam clash with No. 1/1 Oklahoma from May 5-8.
Game one on Friday is set for a 6 p.m. first pitch on ESPN2, game two is slated for 4 p.m. Saturday on ESPN and the series finale on Sunday will start at 2 p.m. CT on ESPN+. All three games can be heard on The Varsity Network.
