Cowgirl Track & Field Cracks Top 25 in Latest USTFCCCA Poll

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's track & field entered the rankings for the first time this season at No. 25 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced Monday.
The Cowgirls moved up 35 spots in this week's poll following several impressive performances at the Jim Click Shootout this past weekend.
Bailey Golden leads the Cowgirls in the ratings index, accounting for 31.09 of OSU's 75.98 rating points for being ranked second in the NCAA in the Heptathlon with her score of 5,805 points. Billah Jepkirui owns the second-most points for the Cowgirls with 21.79 as she's ranked eighth and 18th in the 1,500 and 800 Meters, respectively. Alongside Golden, fellow multi-event athlete Olivija Vaitaityte accounts for 13.12 points as she's ranked No. 10 in the Heptathlon.
Cowgirl All-Americans Gabija Galvydyte and Taylor Roe will be making their outdoor debuts in their respective events this season, with Galvydyte competing in the 800 and 1,500 Meters and Roe in the 5,000 Meters. Roe also competed earlier this season in the 10,000 Meters earlier this season at the Stanford Invitational, clocking a time of 33:02.36.
