Cowboys Finish Regular Season with Win in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Oklahoma State basketball wrapped up its regular season with a 71-68 win in Lubbock on Saturday.
Caleb Asberry led the Cowboys with a season-high 24 points and a career-high seven three-point field goals. Asberry also added six rebounds and three steals for OSU.
Bryce Thompson chipped in 19 points, including 15 in the first half on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Thompson has made at least one three in eight-straight games and continues to lead the Cowboys in three-point field goal percentage in Big 12 play at 36.7%.
Moussa Cisse returned to the starting lineup for the first time since Jan. 2 against West Virginia and posted six points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Cisse passed his block total from last season and sits at 56 blocks this season, despite missing three games.
Tyreek Smith made his fourth start of the season and provided quality minutes for Mike Boynton, adding 11 points, five rebounds and shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field.
John-Michael Wright struggled to score for most of the game, but managed to get his team involved all game with a team-high and season-high six assists.
The Cowboys' defense didn't allow any Texas Tech players to reach double figures scoring, the first time an opponent hasn't had a single player reach double figures since Nov. 9, 2021, against UT Arlington.
OSU shot 44.3% from the field, with four of five starters shooting 50% or better against the Red Raiders.
The Cowboys completed the season sweep of Texas Tech and reached eight conference wins.
Oklahoma State returns to the hardwood on Wednesday, March 8, at 8:30 p.m. against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12 Tournament. The game will be played at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
