Cowgirl Basketball Routs Utah Tech for Fifth-Straight Win

ST. GEORGE, Utah – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team collected its fifth-straight win behind a career day from Hannah Gusters, defeating Utah Tech 87-61 Wednesday afternoon in St. George, Utah.
The Cowgirls improve to 7-3 with the win and pick up their first road victory of the season. They'll be back in action tomorrow in the second game of their road trip against Oregon in St. George at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
In just her second game at OSU, Gusters posted a career-best 27 points to go with five rebounds on 12-17 shooting. Anna Gret Asi scored 17 points along with a career-high nine assists, while Quincy Noble and Lior Garzon each added 15 points.
Garzon also grabbed 10 rebounds, completing her first double-double of the season.
The teams played even for most of the first quarter, but Oklahoma State went on an 11-0 run late in the period. The Cowgirls took a 25-14 lead to the second quarter, getting nine points from Gusters in the frame.
The Cowgirls continued to pour it on in the second quarter, extending their lead throughout the period and taking a 45-24 lead into the halftime break. Asi matched her career-high with six assists in the first half alone to go along with 10 points.
OSU didn't let up to open the second half, continuing to steadily add to the lead. Garzon got going in the third quarter, burying back-to-back triples midway through the frame and knocking down a pair of free throws later on. The Cowgirls entered the fourth quarter leading by 28.
Gusters closed things for Oklahoma State in the fourth quarter, scoring the Cowgirls' final eight points of the game to wrap up the blowout victory at 87-61.
OSU shot 53.1% from the field and 10-24 (41.7%) from three in the win, while out-rebounding the Trailblazers 43-28 and outscoring them in the paint 44-26. The Cowgirls also posted a season-high 24 assists in the win.
Rylee Langerman grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds, six of which coming on the offensive glass, and added five assists. Noble finished with six assists and four rebounds to go with her 15 points.
