Cowboys in the NFL: Week 15
December 19, 2023 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Plenty of former Cowboys put in solid performances during week 15 of the National Football League, and there's some exciting news to look forward to in week 16. But first, a look at all the highlights from week 15:
Chuba Hubbard continued his monstrous season with the Carolina Panthers with another standout performance against the Atlanta Falcons this week. Hubbard helped lead his team to their second win of the season, 9-7, as he tallied 87 yards on 22 carries, chipping in through the air with two receptions for 16 yards.
His work on Sunday elevated his season total to 731 rushing yards, which marks the best season of Hubbard's young career. Additionally, the former All-American Cowboy is putting together a career season through the air, logging 190 yards on 32 receptions.
Jaylen Warren put together another workman-like performance this week for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they faced off against the Indianapolis Colts on a rare Saturday NFL game. Warren totaled 10 carries for 40 yards and added five receptions for 28 yards in the contest in a tough 30-13 loss.
Sticking with the Steelers, head coach Mike Tomlin announced that former Cowboy Mason Rudolph has earned the start at quarterback for their Week 16 contest against their divisional rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals.
Since being drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Rudolph has struggled to solidify his starting role. However, the former Poke showed promise when he was given an extended stint with the team during the 2019 season, starting eight games and throwing for 1,765 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Rudolph will take the field for his 11th career start on Saturday, Dec. 13, in what always proves to be a rowdy contest against the Bengals, with kickoff slated for 3:30 p.m.
