Cowboys in the NFL: Week 14
December 12, 2023 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – From a wild walk-off kick return to another Pro Bowl-esque performance, the former Cowboys in the NFL balled out this week. A look at all the action from week 14 in the big leagues:
Who else to start with than the man responsible for just the fourth-ever overtime punt return in NFL history? Former All-American Tylan Wallace gave us one of the most magical moments in NFL history when he took a punt 76 yards to the house in overtime to lead his Baltimore Ravens to a dramatic 37-31 win over the Los Angeles Rams Sunday afternoon.
Wallace's thrilling return was his first career punt return as well as his first regular season touchdown in the NFL. The 76-yard game winner is bigger than just a dream crusher for the Rams, as the victory also secured his team's position atop the AFC standings with a record of 10-3.
Moving to the team that's in second place in the AFC, Tyreek Hill and his Miami Dolphins sit a game behind the Ravens after their tight loss against the Tennessee Titans, 28-27, as part of Monday Night Football's doubleheader. Hill gave Dolphins' fans a fright when he went down with an ankle injury with 3:03 remaining in the first quarter, however the speedy wideout returned in the third quarter, much to the relief of those in the stands. The former Cowboy finished with 61 yards on four receptions in the contest.
Following a season-high performance with 104 yards last week, Chuba Hubbard backed it up this week with another solid performance. He finished with 87 yards on 23 carries in a tough loss on the road against the New Orleans Saints, 28-6.
Teven Jenkins added to his Pro Bowl resume with another standout performance in the Chicago Bears 28-13 victory over the Detroit Lions this week. On the season, Jenkins has only allowed one sack in 586 offensive snaps played.
