Cowboys Rise to No. 15 in CFP Rankings

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team moved up to No. 15 in the second edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings, which were released Tuesday evening.
The Cowboys, who were No. 22 in the initial rankings, elevated seven spots this week after taking down No. 9 Oklahoma, 27-24, on Saturday. The win marked OSU's third win in its past four tries against top-10 opponents.
Oklahoma State's No. 15 ranking is its highest placement in the CFP Rankings since the final poll of the 2021 campaign, when it landed at No. 9.
OSU is the Big 12's second-highest ranked team in Tuesday's poll, as Texas leads the way at No. 7 with No. 16 Kansas, No. 17 Oklahoma and No. 25 Kansas State also included. The Cowboys are currently tied atop the conference with Texas at 5-1 in Big 12 play.
The College Football Playoff Rankings will be announced every Tuesday until the CFP selection show in December, following the conference championship games.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Saturday against UCF at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
