Cowboys in the NFL: Week 10

STILLWATER – Week 10 of the NFL season presented a new opportunity for a former Cowboy as well as a career day for another former Poke in the National Football League. Here's some of the highlights from the action:
Two former Cowboys took part in the early game this week, as Teven Jenkins and Chuba Hubbard were in action for Thursday Night Football with their respective teams. Jenkins earned the bragging rights over his former teammate, as his Chicago Bears took down the Carolina Panthers, 16-13. Hubbard wasn't able to find his groove on the ground, as the Bears' defense held him to 23 yards on nine carries, but he did gain 16 yards through the air.
Jenkins continued to build his NFL All-Pro resume with another solid performance on the right side of the offensive line for the Bears. The 2021 second-round pick didn't allow a single sack against the Panthers and paved the way for Bears' running back D'Onta Freeman to rush for 80 yards and a touchdown in the win.
Jaylen Warren turned in a career performance as he led his Pittsburgh Steelers to a 23-19 win over the Green Bay Packers. Warren was named the starting running back for the first time in his career, and he capitalized on the opportunity, rushing for 101 yards on 15 carries, as well as a touchdown. His total of 101 yards marks a new career high for Warren, as he and Najee Harris hold their status as one of best running back tandems in the league.
Malcolm Rodriguez normally sees action on defense and special teams, however this week the former Poke made the switch to the offensive side of the ball for a change. Rodriguez was deployed as a fullback for the Detroit Lions against the Los Angeles Chargers, tasked with blocking a tough defensive line that includes four-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa. It's safe to say he fulfilled his blocking duties, as he helped the Lions total 200 yards rushing in the contest and come out with the win, 41-38 on the road in Los Angeles, Cali.
Last week, Matt Ammendola was watching all the action from home, as he awaited his opportunity after going through the offseason as a free agent. Following an injury to the Houston Texans' starting kicker, the former Cowboy was given a chance to earn his keep, and he did not disappoint.
Competing in his first NFL game in over a year, Ammendola went a perfect three-for-three on field goals, including this walk-off game-winner to lead his Texans to a 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
