Cowboys 23rd in Third CFP Rankings

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team landed at No. 23 in the third edition of the College Football Playoff Rankings, which were released Tuesday night.
The Cowboys have been included in the CFP Rankings in three consecutive weeks, its first time doing so since being ranked in every poll of the 2021 season. OSU was No. 15 in last week's rankings before falling to UCF on Saturday.
OSU is one of five Big 12 teams included in Tuesday's poll. Texas is the conference's highest-ranked member at No. 7, while No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 21 Kansas State and No. 25 Kansas round out the group. The Cowboys are currently in a four-way tie for second in the Big 12 with the Sooners, Wildcats and Iowa State.
The College Football Playoff Rankings will be announced every Tuesday until the CFP selection show in December, following the conference championship games.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Saturday at Houston for its final road game of the season. The game is slate for 3 p.m. on ESPN2.
