Series History: Cowboys Look for 10th Series Win Over Wildcats in Gundy Era

Oklahoma State looks to collect its 10th series win in the Mike Gundy era over Kansas State tonight at Boone Pickens Stadium.
The Cowboys mount a 42-27 all-time lead against the Wildcats as they enter the 70th rendition of the head-to-head series. The Cowboy faithful have shown out in Stillwater, with OSU winning seven of its last eight home meetings and 23-9 all-time.
Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy is on the cusp of notching double-digit wins versus Kansas State, currently holding a 9-6 record when playing the Wildcats. Since taking the helm in 2005, Gundy has faced three opposing coaches in Ron Price (1-1), Bill Snyder (5-4) and Chris Klieman (3-1) – placing a .500 record or better against all three.
Cowboys Jaden Nixon, Rashod Owens and Jason Brooks Jr. each earned their first career start last season in Manhattan. Nixon and Owens hit the highlight reel last game versus Iowa State, with Nixon reeling in a 60-yard reception and Owens bringing down a 20-yard snag. On the offensive line, Brooks Jr. has since established himself as a mainstay, starting in all four contests this season heading into tonight.
