IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State had three players honored with Big 12 Conference awards for their performances in 2023.
Xcaret Pineda was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team at midfielder, while Laudan Wilson and Chloé Joseph were named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. The teams were selected by the conference's head coaches.
A sophomore, Pineda has started all 19 games for the Cowgirls this season and is second on the team with 17 points. She has posted six goals and five assists, both of which rank third on the squad.
Pineda, a native of Bolingbrook, Ill., leads OSU with 58 shots, 25 of those on goal. She tallied three goals and an assist in Big 12 play.
A defender, Joseph has played in every game in her first collegiate season, starting 14 of those, and the Canadian helped the Cowgirls emerge as one of the top defensive teams in the conference.
OSU has recorded nine shutouts and allowed just 14 goals, ranking second in the league in both categories, and Joseph has spent over 1,100 minutes of action helping shut down opposing attacks.
A Kansas native, Wilson has shined as a midfielder. In 16 games, she is tied for the team lead with six assists, and she has also chipped in with three goals.
In Wilson's first-ever Big 12 game, she tied a program record by recording three assists at Iowa State, becoming just the eighth player in OSU history to notch three assists in a game and the first since 2011.
