Cowboys Top Mountaineers In Home Big 12 Opener

STILLWATER, Okla. ---- Oklahoma State basketball captured its first conference win of the season on Monday over West Virginia, 67-60.
The Cowboys led for the entire first half and took a nine point lead into the break after holding West Virginia to a season-low 22 points in the first half.
The Mountaineers roared back to take the lead with just over seven minutes remaining, but the Cowboys capped off the game with a 9-3 run to grab the win.
Bryce Thompson once again led the Cowboys on the offensive end, scoring a team-high 15 points and knocking down two three-pointers.
Avery Anderson III bounced back after Saturday's game, scoring 13 points on 60 percent shooting, while grabbing five rebounds.
The Cowboys defensive anchor, Moussa Cisse, left the game in the first half due to injury, but returned late in the second half. Cisse collected six points and three boards in just 11 minutes.
John-Michael Wright's shooting ability has propelled the Cowboys' offense over the last four games, averaging 13 points while shooting 46 percent from three on 6.5 attempts per game.
Oklahoma State returns to action on Saturday at 11 a.m. against the Texas Longhorns in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
