STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State safety Kendal Daniels was named to the FWAA's 2022 Freshman All-America Team Thursday.
The recognition adds to a list of honors for the Beggs, Oklahoma, native, who has already been named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, a second team All-Big 12 honoree, a CFN Freshman All-American and a first team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
Daniels played in all 13 games and started five times for the Cowboy football team as a redshirt freshman in 2022, totaling 71 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, five pass breakups and a forced fumble.
He ranked fourth among all FBS freshmen with three interceptions and was fifth with an average of 5.5 tackles per game.
It marks the second straight year that OSU has had a player on the FWAA Freshman All-America Team, as defensive end Collin Oliver was included on the 2021 team.
