Cowgirl Tennis Wraps Up Day Three in Lubbock

LUBBOCK – Three members of the Oklahoma State women's team wrapped up day three at the ITF 15k Lubbock Pro Circuit this afternoon.
The day started with Ayumi Miyamoto dominating Indianna Spink, 6-3, 6-0, to advance to round two of the main draw. Kristina Novak was defeated by Avelina Sayfetdinova, 6-4, 4-6, 3-6.
In doubles, Miyamoto teamed up with Lisa Marie Rioux for the first time since the NCAA semi-finals. The All-American duo defeated Thasaporn Naklo and Mia Yamakita, 6-4, 6-3, to move on to the next round.
Raquel Gonzalez completed the day by winning her doubles matchup, 6-3, 6-1, with fellow Spaniard and Arkansas freshman, Carolina Gomez.
The Cowgirls will be back in action tomorrow starting with Miyamoto and Gonzalez competing against each other at 10 a.m.
