Cowboys Fifth Through 36 Holes At Olympia Fields

Round 2 Results
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team slipped one spot into fifth place on Saturday after posting a 284 during its second round at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club.
The Cowboys stand at 7-over 567 through two rounds at the par-70, 7,300-yard layout. Stanford remains atop the team standings at 551, while Arizona State moved into second place at 558. Illinois stands at 559 and Florida is fourth at 564.
Individually, Illinois' Adrien Dumont de Chassart grabbed sole possession of first place with a 67 to stand at 132.
OSU's Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen maintain his spot in the top 10 after carding his second consecutive 69 to stand at 2-under 138. The fifth year opened his second round with a birdie before recording eight consecutive pars on his outward nine. Neergaard-Petersen birdied the 10th before stringing together five more pars before a bogey-birdie-bogey finish.
He will begin tomorrow's final round alone in eighth place.
Junior Jonas Baumgartner posted an even-par 70 to move into a tie for 15th place at 142.
A pair of Cowboys finished the day among the group tied for 28th place as senior Hazen Newman and junior Bo Jin each stand at 144. Newman carded a 74 during his second round, while Jin posted a 71.
Senior Rayhan Thomas rounded out the starting five with a 76 to finish at 148 and tied for 54th place.
