Series History: OSU and Arkansas-Pine Bluff Meet for the First Time

For the first time in its history, Oklahoma State will face the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Saturday night at Boone Pickens Stadium.
While the Cowboys have never faced the Golden Lions, OSU has played one game against a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, defeating Grambling State, 56-6, at Boone Pickens Stadium in the fourth game of the 2009 season.
Both teams enter Saturday's game undefeated on the season, with OSU defeating Central Michigan and Arizona State, while UABP defeated Lane and North American.
Mike Gundy is a perfect 13-0 in his career when facing FCS teams, and Saturday's game will mark his first time facing UABP. Last time Gundy and the Cowboys faced an FCS team, it was last year against Missouri State, where the OSU won, 23-16.
Last time the Golden Lions faced a Big 12 opponent was the 2019 season, losing to TCU, 39-7. The upcoming game will also mark UABP coach Doc Gamble's first time playing against the Cowboys.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday night between the Cowboys and Golden Lions and will be televised on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
