Cowgirl Soccer Battles FAU To Draw

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Oklahoma State remained undefeated on the season as the Cowgirls battled Florida Atlantic to a 0-0 draw Thursday night at FAU Soccer Stadium.
With the result, the Cowgirls are now 3-0-1 on the season, while FAU is 2-1-2.
Jordan Nytes posted her second-straight shutout as the OSU freshman recorded a career-high six saves.
Four of Nytes' saves came in the opening half as the Owls outshot OSU by a 5-1 margin in the first 45 minutes.
OSU picked up its attack in the second half resulting in five shots, four of those on goal, but the Cowgirls were unable to find the back of the net. Peyton Vincze had two shots on goal, while Grace Yochum and Gracie Bindbeutel also had attempts that were saved.
With time winding down, Nytes came up big to secure the shutout as she punched away a FAU free kick into the box.
The Cowgirls conclude their road trip Sunday at Miami, with kickoff against the Hurricanes scheduled for 11 a.m. (CDT).
