Cowgirl Soccer Duo Collects Preseason Honor

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Olyvia Dowell and Grace Yochum have been named to the 2022 Preseason All-Big 12 Soccer Team by the conference's head coaches.
OSU is one of three programs with multiple players on the team. TCU leads the way with four, while Texas also has two.
Yochum is the only unanimous selection on the team. The Houston native returns for her fifth and final season with 33 career goals in 69 games.
A midfielder, Yochum is a three-time All-Big 12 performer, having earned first-team honors in 2019 and 2021 and second-team plaudits in 2020. Last season, she tied with Dowell for the team lead with six goals after recording a career-high 12 in 2020.
Yochum, who is also one of 38 players on the United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch for the midfielder position this season, enters the season third on OSU's all-time list in goals and ninth in points. The three-time all-region performer has eight career assists.
Dowell, a senior forward from Longview, Texas, is also a three-time All-Big 12 honoree, with second-team accolades coming her way last season and in 2019 and first-team honors in 2020.
With 18 career assists, Dowell ranks 10th on OSU's all-time list, and she is just outside the top 10 in goals (23) and points (64).
A two-time all-region performer, Dowell led the Big 12 and ranked sixth nationally with 12 goals as a sophomore in 2020.
