Cowgirl Basketball To Compete at Cancun Challenge

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will once again take part in the Women's Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya this season it was announced today.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Jacie Hoyt, the Cowgirls will be one of 10 teams in action at the all-inclusive resort with games taking place Nov. 24-26.
OSU will be one of four teams in the Mayan Division and will be joined by Florida State, Harvard and Purdue. The four teams will play a three-game round robin format.
The Cowgirls last competed at the event in 2017. OSU finished with a 1-1 mark after defeating South Dakota and falling to No. 12 Tennessee.
The tournament dates back to 2005 with teams and fans staying within walking distance of the converted ballroom which hosts the tournament games.
