Lineup for Final X Stillwater Finalized

STILLWATER - The field for Final X Stillwater, presented by Tezos, has been finalized with athletes who won a 2021 World medal or qualified through the World Team Trials in Coralville, Iowa this weekend.

The lineup in Stillwater is loaded, featuring a pair of Olympic champions in 2016 champion Kyle Snyder (97 kg men's freestyle) and 2020 champion Tamyra Mensah Stock (68 kg women's freestyle). Including Snyder and Mensah Stock, the field features four Olympic medalists who have won five total medals with Snyder also claiming silver in 2020, Thomas Gilman winning bronze in 2020 and J'den Cox having won bronze at the 2016 Olympics.

Oklahoma State will be represented by two Cowboys competing in Final X Stillwater. Current 133-pounder Daton Fix will look to defend his world team spot at 61 kg against Seth Gross after earning a World silver medal at the 2021 World Championships. Former Cowboy Jordan Oliver, who was a two-time national champion with the Pokes, will square off with Zain Retherford for the vacant spot at 70 kg in a return to Gallagher-Iba Arena.

There will be nine World medalists competing have won a combined 19 World medals. Topped by Snyder's five medals at the World Championships, other medal winners include Cox (4x), Mensah Stock (3x), Gilman (2x), Jacarra Winchester who won gold in 2019, Fix, Jenna Burkert, Forrest Molinari and Mallory Velte.

On top of the World and Olympic medalists in men's and women's freestyle, the Greco-Roman weight classes bring power of their own in six former World team members, including Olympians, Ben Provisor and Jesse Thielke and 2022 NCAA heavyweight finalist, Cohlton Schultz of Arizona State.

The Final X Series will take place in Gallagher-Iba Arena on June 3 in partnership with the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Honors Weekend. The first of two sessions will begin at 2 p.m. CT the first match of the best-of-three series at all 15 weight classes. The second, and third match if necessary, will be conducted in the second session at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can purchase tickets at okstate.com/tickets.
