Cowboy Baseball's McLean Honored As Big 12's Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State two-way standout Nolan McLean is the Co-Big 12 Player of the Week for Week 11.
McLean starred on the mound and at the plate to help the Cowboys to a 4-0 week that included a road series sweep of No. 6 Texas.
A sophomore, McLean posted a .333 batting average on the week, going 5-for-15 with two doubles, two home runs and four RBIs. He also walked four times and scored seven runs.
McLean was OSU's leading hitter in the Texas series, batting .400 (4-for-10) with a double, two homers and three RBIs. He also led the Pokes with six runs and four walks.
The right-hander also recorded saves in both the series opener and series finale against the Longhorns as he retired all six batters he faced, protecting a two-run lead both times with perfect ninth innings of work.
OSU now counts six Big 12 weekly award winners in 2022. Along with McLean's honor, Justin Campbell has claimed three awards (Pitcher of Week, March 28, April 18 and April 25), while Trevor Martin (Pitcher of Week, Feb. 21) and Roc Riggio (Newcomer of Week, April 11) have also claimed accolades.
