Cowboy Baseball’s Campbell On Golden Spikes Midseason List

CARY, N.C. – Oklahoma State pitcher Justin Campbell is one of 45 players on the 2022 Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list announced by USA Baseball.
The Golden Spikes Award is given to the top amateur baseball player in the country. The semifinalists will be announced on May 24.
Campbell is enjoying another standout season for the Cowboys. In seven starts, the right-hander is 4-1 with a 3.05 ERA.
A native of Simi Valley, Calif., Campbell leads the Big 12 and ranks eighth nationally with 66 strikeouts, and he has struck out eight or more in each of his starts, including turning in three double-digit strikeout performances.
Campbell leads the Big 12 in opponent batting average at .162, and he's the only conference pitcher to toss a complete game this season. His four wins and 44 1/3 innings pitched rank second in the league.
