Spring Preview: Special Teams

With spring football practice underway at Oklahoma State, okstate.com is taking a look at the status of every position group to break down the personnel and how things look heading into the 2022 season. The final group is the Cowboy specialists:

Punter Tom Hutton enters his senior season as one of the most accurate punters in the FBS, and the primary factor in OSU ranking No. 2 in the nation in punt return defense last season.

Kicker Tanner Brown is back as a super senior after hitting 17 of 21 attempts in 2021 and kicking off 82 times on the year. He'll be backed up by Alex Hale, who was a Groza semifinalist in 2020.

Super senior long-snapper Matt Hembrough also returns after earning All-America honors in 2021. He's perfect on more than 375 career snaps. He's backed up by Zeke Zaragoza, who has also been perfect on the playing time he's seen over the past two seasons.
