April 14, 2022 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football student-athlete Logan Carter earned a spot on the 2022 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all levels who maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade point average or better throughout their college careers.
It's the latest academic recognition for Carter, who in November became the first five-time first team Academic All-Big 12 honoree in Cowboy football history. He was a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy – commonly referred to as the Academic Heisman– in 2020 and again in 2021. In 2020, he was a second team CoSIDA Academic All-America selection.
Carter graduated from OSU with a degree in nutritional sciences/allied health and came back to earn a master's degree in health care administration.
On the field, Carter was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the coaches in 2020 and 2021. He saw significant action on special teams throughout his career and started nine games as a Cowboy Back, including a start in OSU's win over Notre Dame in the 2022 PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. He was primarily known for his prowess as a blocker, but had 17 catches for 129 yards and three touchdowns during his Cowboy career.
