Eugenio Chacarra Named To Haskins Award Watch List

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's Eugenio Chacarra was named to the most recent watch list for the Fred Haskins Award it was announced today.
The Haskins Award, which is presented annually to the player of the year in men's college golf, is selected by college players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Players on the watch list were selected by a panel of Golfweek and Golf Channel writers.
Chacarra is currently ranked No. 2 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. The senior has a pair of wins to his credit this spring, recording victories at the Amer Ari Invitational and the N.I.T. Additionally, he tied for third place at the Gators Invitational, ninth at the Cabo Collegiate and was runner-up in OSU's most recent outing at the Haskins Award Invitational.
Of his 18 rounds played this spring, 13 have been in the 60s, including nine consecutive to start the season.
Chacarra is looking to join the list of Cowboys to win the award which includes Lindy Miller (1978), Bob Tway (1981), Willie Wood (1982), Scott Verplank (1986), Charles Howell (2000), Hunter Mahan (2003), Pablo Martin (2006) and Matthew Wolff (2019).
