Cowboy Baseball’s Campbell Tabbed Big 12’s Top Hurler

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's Justin Campbell is the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week for Week Six.
Campbell tossed the first complete game by a Big 12 pitcher this season in the series opener against Kansas and picked up his third win of the season in impressive fashion.
The right-hander tallied nine strikeouts and allowed just two runs on three hits against the Jayhawks. The performance marked the fifth consecutive game in which Campbell has posted nine or more strikeouts.
Campbell's dominance grew as the game progressed as he retired 12-straight KU batters to end the game.
With his effort, Campbell increased his Big 12-leading strikeout total to 58 while lowering his ERA to 2.11, which ranks fourth in the conference.
Campbell is the Cowboys' second Big 12 weekly award winner in 2022, joining Trevor Martin, who earned the honor on Feb. 21 following the season-opening weekend.
