Game Flow
- With the help of a 9-0 run, Oklahoma State found itself on top early with a 17-9 lead at the midway point of the first half.
- The Cowboy defense held onto the early lead for the remainder of the first half to take a 22-20 lead into the break.Â
- Iowa State went on 6-0 run to tie the game early in the second half, but the Cowboys never gave up the lead and led 34-30 at the 10-minute mark of the second half.
- OSU continued to gain distance with a 11-0 run to go up 47-33 with less than 4 minutes. The run propelled the Cowboys to a 53-36 victory.
- The Oklahoma State defense came to play, as it has all year, as it held Iowa State to 20 points on 28.6 percent shooting from the floor in the first half. This was the lowest first half point total that any opponent has held the Cyclones to this year.
- The Cowboys also held the Cyclones to 16 points in the second half, which is the lowest Iowa State point total in any half this year. The 36 total points was also the lowest point total in a game for Iowa State this season. It marked the fewest points allowed in any conference road game since a 38-34 win over Oklahoma in Norman on March 2, 1955.
- During Oklahoma State's second half run, it held Iowa State to three points for more than 11 minutes to go on a 15-3 run during that span.
- OSU holding Iowa State to 36 points is the fewest amount of points that Oklahoma State has given up in a Big 12Â game. The previous record was 41, which most recently happened against Texas A&M on March 6, 2004.
- Iowa State came into the game shooting 44.6 percent from the floor and 33.4 percent from three. On Wednesday, OSU held the Cyclones to 28.3 percent shooting from the floor and 11.8 percent from three.
- Moussa Cisse grabbed 12 rebounds in Ames to record his third straight game with 10+ rebounds. It was also the seventh time this season he had completed this feat
- Isaac Likekele grabbed four rebounds off the defensive glass on Wednesday night in Ames. This moved him up to 5th place on Oklahoma State's all-time defensive rebounds list with 488 rebounds. He tied former teammate Cameron McGriff on the chart
- Oklahoma State won the paint battle once again, as it outscored Iowa State 28-18. It marked the 21st time in 28 games OSU has scored more than its foe in the paint
- Earned OSU a split or better in the Iowa State series for the third-straight years and gave the Cowboys wins in five of the last six games in the series.Â
- Gave OSU it's second-straight win in Ames, something it hasn't done since winning there in 2002 and then again in 2004.Â
- Gave OSU seven or more conference wins for the third-straight year, it's longest stretch since 2015.Â
- Gave Oklahoma State at least 14 wins in a season for the third-straight year and propelled it to that mark in 33 of the past 35 years.Â
- Became the second-straight time that the Cowboys have won by double-digits in Ames which is the first time they have done that in the series.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 726 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.
- Isaac Likekele has recorded a rebound in 122-straight games dating back to his freshman year.Â
- Avery Anderson III has reached double figures in scoring seven-straight games after the Iowa State game on Wednesday, which continued a season high for consecutive games with 10 or more points for him.Â
