March 12, 2022 | Cowboy Golf
MYRTLE, BEACH, S.C. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will head east this weekend to take part in the General Hackler at Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
The Cowboys will be making their first start at the event, which began in 2002. The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, a par-72, 7,233-yard layout, has served as the host venue since 2015 and will play host to a 15-team field this week.
OSU's starting five will consist of seniors Eugenio Chacarra and Aman Gupta, juniors Brian Stark and Rayhan Thomas and sophomore Bo Jin.
Senior Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen will compete individually.
OSU is slated to begin its first round tomorrow at 8:25 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Coastal Carolina and South Carolina.
The Cowboys will also have four individuals in action this week at the Bash at the Beach at Surf Golf and Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach.
Freshman Tiger Christensen, senior Leo Oyo, and juniors Dillon Stewart and Hazen Newman will all compete at the tournament, which will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
Christensen led a quartet of Cowboys who competed this past week at the Broncho Invitational at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City.
Christensen posted scores of 67 and 71 for a 6-under total of 138 to post a two-stroke victory over freshman teammate Jordan WIlson, who finished in sole possession of second place. Oyo tied for 10th place, while Newman tied for 16th place.
Live scoring for the team event will be available at golfstat.com, while the individual tournament's scoring can be found at birdiefire.com.
