STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team earned its first Big 12 home victory of the season on Wednesday evening, shooting past TCU, 76-47, in front of 1,759 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The two teams went back and forth through the first period with the Cowgirls eventually taking a 12-10 lead after the first 10 minutes.
In the second, TCU used an 8-2 run to grab the lead and held a two-point advantage with three minutes to go before the Cowgirls closed the half on a 7-0 run capped by a Lexy Keys' jumper at the buzzer to send OSU into the break with a 29-24 lead.
The Horned Frogs would use a 7-0 run of their own to grab the lead early in the third. However, OSU used a 14-1 surge to built a 47-34 lead with two minutes left in the period.
The Cowgirls would score the first 15 points of the fourth quarter to put the game away and even the season series.
Lauren Fields led all scorers with 25 points, including a 5-of-9 effort from beyond the 3-point line. Taylen Collins added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Cowgirls, who shot 45 percent from the floor as a team.
