Game Flow
- In a very defensive first half, Oklahoma State was able to take an 11-10 lead just before the midway point following a 7-0 run to force a Kansas timeout after holding the Jayhawks scoreless for more than 3 minutes.
- Kansas answered the Oklahoma State run by hitting three-straight 3-pointers to take a 26-17 lead with less than 6 minutes left in the half. Another 7-0 run allowed the Jayhawks to take a 38-26 lead going into the break.Â
- KU was able to extend its lead to over 20 after a 13-0 run with less than 13 minutes left in the game.
- Oklahoma State fought its way back with a 12-2 run after the 8-minute media timeout but Kansas was able to hold off the late push to go onto win 76-62.
- Avery Anderson III recorded 15 to reach double figures for the third-straight game. It matched his season high for consecutive games with 10 or more points.Â
- Showing its depth, Oklahoma State's bench outscored the Kansas second unit 22 to 5.Â
- Oklahoma State dominated in the paint once again, as it outscored KU 38-28. It marked the 19th time in 25 games OSU has scored more than its foe in the paint.Â
- The Oklahoma State defense held Kansas to 39.1 percent shooting from the field. Coming into the game Kansas was first in the Big 12 and fourth in the country in field goal percentage shooting 49.7 percent from the floor.
- They also led the Big 12 in three-point percentage coming into the game shooting 36.2 percent but the Cowboy defense held them to 25 percent from three.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 722 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.
- Isaac Likekele has recorded a rebound in 118-straight games dating back to his freshman year and has recorded an assist in 59-consecutive games, as well.Â
- Avery Anderson III has reached double figures in scoring three-straight games. It's tied for his longest stretch of the year after also doing so the Wichita State, Xavier and Cleveland State games.
