Cowgirl Tennis Adds Lucia Peyre

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team has added Lucia Peyre to its roster for the upcoming spring season it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Chris Young.
"We are thrilled to have Lucia joining our program this spring and expect that she is going to have an amazing impact," Young said. "She is a great competitor and Jaime and I can't wait to get to work with her in a few weeks."
Peyre, a native of Las Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina, has reached an ITF juniors ranking of No. 27 and has five titles to her credit. Most recently, she played in the Roland-Garros tournament where she won her first professional tournament after securing the W15K Baza title.
Among her other accolades, Peyre has also represented Argentina in the Junior BJK CUP U16 in 2019 and played at Wimbledon in 2022.
"I'm very happy to be a part of the Cowgirl tennis team and become a Cowgirl," Peyre said. "I want to thank Jaime and Chris for the opportunity and I'm really excited to start working and playing with the girls. We are a very strong team so I'm going to do my best to put us on top."
